Rated 5 out of 5 by from Omega TC tt-36-k-200ft It takes a couple days before shipping the package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TC Wire Easy to weld and durable during high vibration and temperature testing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great flexibility and nice and thin. I like the flexibility of this wire. It is a bit cumbersome to strip it at first, but it gets better with knowledge. I like the thin wire and the ability to place it on my parts and not have it be so ridged. It stays where I place it with non-marking mylar tape.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does its job Type K thermocouple wire does as is advertised. Jacket and wire insulation are easy enough to strip and the conductor easy enough to make bead.

Should the leads be soldered or twisted together for the most accurate results?.

Asked by: KSImmucor
Thank you for your inquiry K Simmucor. For the most accurate results, the leads have to be soldered together. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at 1-800-622-2378, ask for Temperature Engineering or temp@omega.com.

What is the recommended solder to be used?

Asked by: KSImmucor
Thank you for your inquiry. Do not use solder with thermocouple wire. Only use thermocouple connectors, terminal blocks and barrier strip to make connections.

Would it not be better to weld the lead wires? Does Omega solder or weld the lead wires on their probes, I would like to know. (I am not talking about the measuring junction, only the lead wires.)

Asked by: Ed11
Thank you for your inquiry. Solder is never recommended when making measuring junctions or extending lead wires. Use Arc Welding to make measuring junctions. Use thermocouple compensated connectors and terminal blocks to extend wires.

Can you provide the thermocouple wires (e.g.TT-K-30-SLE-50) with ISO 17025 accredited calibration certificate?

Asked by: Eugen
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are unable to calibrated products to ISO 17025 Standards. We only provide NIST Traceable Calibration.
