Hello, referring to an older inquiry: We'd like to use the labels for vaccum applications. Why is this not recommended? Is the reaction mechanism/precision altered or does the glue degas? What is the reaction mechanism of the sensors?
Asked by: Phil74
Hello again, thanks for the fast reply. In order to judge whether there might a deviating response it would be very useful if you could give details on the reaction mechanism, e.g if it requires atmospheric oxygen. Then the response might just be delayed.
Kind regards, Phil

Will these labels only measure surface temperature of where its mounted or the air around it too? (conduction/convection). Want to detect max temperature of product going through oven.
Asked by: gbdonhowe
The Temperature Labels are designed to measure the surface temperature of what they are adhered.

What is the reaction time for the strip to change color. I want to test an overcurrent event that could be less than a second. The conductor I am using should heat up momentarily and then cool off. is 1 second enough of a contact to change color?
Asked by: Elton P
The response time for the temperature labels is one second so it is not 100% positive that it will react quickly enough for this application.

Does the surface to which you apply the label need to be 100% flat? If not, what is the most curved surface these labels can be applied to?
Asked by: gbrawn
The Temperature Labels are flexible and can be attached to a curved surface. The bend radius has not been established but down to a 1/2" should be fine.

It seems a strip could be cut into individual dots. Does cutting the strip into separate dots affect temperature indication or have other impact? Does cutting the strip risk leaking of a chemical or other material/liquid?
Asked by: Peter Strzepa
Thank you for your inquiry Peter. Cutting or modifying the strips in any way will permanently damage the strip and it will not longer measure temperature.
